ArtdropDTO began as a brainstorm between Orlando artists and friends Cherrah Johnson and Geoffrey Gregory, who have been designing & building displays together for a decade for Beaux Studios' boutiques, located around Central Florida. Geoffrey is an engineer and fabricator, known to be able to mix art and engineering to support the fine artists he works with. During a design meeting in April, while sitting in front of the vintage vending machine, we talked about our friend Katie Willoughby -Root, a local artist who had just put a small vending machine inside local franchise Kelly's Homemade, on Corinne Drive. Musing about how to connect more buyers to their artist friends, they realized they could use the vintage cigarette vending machine that Geoff had already been refurbishing!
The Concept
We’re curating an exhibition of limited-edition art, small enough to fit into a vintage vending machine. The magic happens when you embrace the creative challenge of working within a confined space. This is an opportunity to experiment, innovate, and connect with collectors in a playful, unexpected way.
We provide the blank canvas—small, consistent mediums—for you to transform:
Each piece you create is part of a curated, limited-edition run, and your art will be released as part of our monthly "drops."
