Beaux Studios Internship
Downtown Studio
Beaux Studios was founded by Cherrah Johnson, a UCF ’99 graduate. Our Internship is in partnership with the Nicholson School of Communication & Media. Our unique bohemian design studio is located on historic Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando. Our studio serves as a hands-on learning environment for our interns, offering them exposure to both small-scale and large-scale production processes.
Our Unique Setting
In our studio, we specialize in creating limited-edition jewelry and serve as the hub for our traveling pop-up market booth and Beaux Workshops.
This atmosphere allows our interns to experience the entire creative process firsthand, from ideation to production and sales. We come up with creative ideas - from marketing to jewelry design - and then try them out. We measure the results and decide which products or ideas are worth focusing our limited creative energy to develop further. As a dramatic and unique contrast, our interns gain valuable insights by also working on large scale corporate sourcing. Vintage Carnie, a Boutique Branding Agency, is our global product sourcing agency. Born from sourcing for theme parks in our Orlando market, we have relationships around the globe to develop custom merchandise. Our Interns get to see this purchase order based model and learn about how crucial details are in large scale sourcing.
By witnessing the design, operations, and sales processes of a small studio, our interns develop a comprehensive understanding of the fashion industry and product production from a systemic perspective.
In their Internships, students plan out their own fashion brand alongside our branding projects for Beaux. They become part of our operation and their creativity is welcomed.
